Can somebody clarify the difference between a marriage license and exchanging vows by a judge/priest? - marriage license in key garden queens
We were married December 31, 2008th That day falls on a Wednesday, and all courts in Michigan are closed on that day because it's New Year's Eve. We perform a big wedding, there are only 5 or 6 people so far ...
Allow me to use the clear, I can apply for a marriage license a month ago, but the important thing is that I have either a judge or a minister for the exchange of vows ordained? Thus, a combination of both (a) obtain a marriage license until a month before the effective exchange of vows, and (b) More importantly, a priest or ordained minister who married 12/31/2008.
While we 12/31/08 May as a date for our marriage, we need to find a priest of the church at random, and he agrees to marry 12/31?
Is it difficult to organize, and I can understand the process of marriage, or am I missing something?

Yes, if you are married on 12/31/08, it would need it at your wedding with a pastor or priest, duly authorized, plan to celebrate a marriage in your state too. It can be difficult, especially if you do not have a pastor or priest, as a rule, you know. I suggest you start now to do everything.

This is not correct. You need to get the first year after the marriage or by a person by a court or a priest. If married, a priest, you must send the signed marriage license to his home in the district court, then treat.

The license is a permission of the state to marry.
The priest or the judge is the person who officiated at the wedding. You will receive a marriage certificate to say that the marriage was legally and witnesses.

EDIT: The person above me is wrong. In Michigan, you will receive your license in the province where you live, but you do not marry within the same community. You can get married in any city or town you are in the state of Michigan.
I live in Marquette County, Wayne County, but married ... We have our marriage license in Marquette County because that's where we live.
